Anne Fletcher, Principal, Cooinda School of Bumbry, Australia, visited the school under an exchange programme by Australia Education Society and Delhi Education Dept.
She was warmly welcomed by the school principal, staff and students. She came with twenty two delegates and remained for 17 days, visiting different schools in Delhi. It was a sort of journey of discovery for them. They learned a lot about Indian culture, traditions, habits, education system, among other things.
Fletcher loved India beyond words as she found the country and its people very friendly and open. The delegates interacted with the students and had the first hand knowledge of teaching method by observing it in the class-rooms.
The school principal Agnes Davies once also visited Australia under the same programme, and praised Australian Education System. Fletcher believed that such visits will open up many avenues in the field of education and build cultural ties. She also said that new world demands new kind of education, and countries should work together to modernise education.
