There is a good news for the students of CBSE affiliated schools. All such schools are going to have a health club soon. CBSE has asked all its schools to do it in minimum possible time. These health and wellness clubs are aimed to sensitise students about cleanliness, diseases, health, precautions and sanitation. Announcing the initiative, HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said that schools will now have zero tolerance for poor sanitation. CBSE has set up safe drinking water and sanitation as part of its millennium development goals. It is estimated that around 40% of schools small towns don’t have functioning toilets or safe drinking water. All these problems will be eradicated under this programme. Waste water will also be treated, and rain water will be harvested.
