cbse borrows british concept of teaching maths through games
In Britain, kids don’t carry school bags. They even don’t sit in class rooms looking at the blackboard. They mostly remain where they love to remain playground, learning Maths through games!Now, CBSE has issued a directive to its affiliated schools to follow the same method. Many schools in Delhi are co-operating in implementing PEC (Physical Education in Curriculum). PEC originated during the bidding by England for Olympics 2012. To promote the sports, creative sports persons and academicians invented PEC.Learning Maths through games gives children a sense of achievement and it is all fun. Bloom Public School, Vasant Kunj as the pioneer in this field and is actively using PEC to teach Maths to its students. Attendance in PEC classes is highest. Students love the method and do not get bored. The elaborate methods of PEC are being taught to teachers and sports coaches across CBSE schools in the city. Around 30 schools are taking part in the pilot project. Above all, it could be used by any government school as it doesn’t need a budget.
