On December 23, the school came ahead to do something to improve the image of the city and prepare people for the Commonwealth Games which will be held in October, 2010.


The list of eminent guests at the event included Arvinder Singh Lovely Transport and Education Minister, Delhi) as the chief guest, Usha Ravi Chandran as the guest of honour, principals of many schools, Rotarians from Delhi Central, office bearers of DAVCMC and LMC, Justice RN Mittal, school chairman, vice president, DAVCMC and 2000 parents of the students.


The aim of the event was to sensitise Delhites about the games through a presentation “Prayaas 2010”. The present persons were told about the preparations including infrastructures.


The students tried to build a public opinion through hand-held placards which promoted good civic sense and messages from civility lessons. The students of the senior wing presented a dance on Indian culture.


The school newsletter ‘Kailash Rattan” was also released by the Education Minister. School principal Ira Khanna presented the annual report. The students received awards for excellence in all good activities.
