New Delhi: The Sheila Dikshit government told the Delhi High Court that it has accepted the recommendations of the Ganguly Committee report on admission of toddlers in pre-primary and Class one.
With admission session inching closer, the state government has filed a report in the High Court agreeing to abide by the instructions mentioned in the affidavit filed by it in 2007.
As per the guidelines mentioned in the affidavit, the minimum age for the admission in pre-primary and Class one will be 4+ and 5+ respectively.
The report prepared by the Education Directorate was submitted by Delhi government counsel Ruchi Siddhwani before a bench headed by Acting Chief Justice AK Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahay Andlow.
It was also learnt that the government is preparing separate rules and regulations for play-school and pre nursery admissions.
