donate-a-book campaign helps underprivileged children
Any person who rose up from poor background knows how difficult it is for poor kids to by books. To ease the problem, TOI and UNESCO have launched a noble campaign “Donate A Book; in New Delhi. Former SC justice and mother of the renowned author Vikram Seth, Leila Seth and Delhi UNESCO director Armoogam parsuramen inaugurated the programme by donating a couple of their own always struggled to buy a book. Times Foundation and UNESCO will receive donated books from anyone and will build libraries in poor school for the benefit of underprivileged kids. The message will be sent to people through various mediums, asking them not to sell old books to raddiwala. Instead, these books should be given to the Foundation. To execute the campaign in a perfect way, the Foundation will also partner with various NGOs. Boxes will be put up at major places to enable people to drop books into them.
