du collaborates with pvt. schools to make admissions less complex
To end the confusion which surrounds DU admissions each year, the world-renowned university has begun a school-connect initiative. The initiative is the first of its kind which aims to take along all pvt. schools in making the admission process easier for the aspiring students. For this, the DU officials held many work shops which were attended by the teachers and principals of many Delhi schools. They were made to understand various rules and procedures of undergraduate admissions. Each workshop was a 3-hour-long interactive session, addressed by Dean, students welfare S.K. Vij and other committee members. A proposal was submitted to give weightage to class IX marks and to acknowledge financial management as a subject. They also talked about brutal cut-off lists. Now, principals will get these lists to guide the students. The noble initiative has been lauded by the students and parents.
