Enmity and constant state of tension between two neighbours ultimately destroy the invaluable and priceless peace and progress of both nations. Neighbours should live at peace. There is no other way.Cultural ties are vital. Students also work for peace. The students of Pakistan and India lived together (in a virtual space) for whole month of January,2010,trying to create a design for an outer space city somewhere near moon. They were divided into 5 teams, each having 36 participants,90 students were from Pak. 36 students were adjudged as winners as their designs were very innovative. They received not medals or trophies but something which was equal to their endeavour – a piece of meteorite which was found in Argentina in 1576!The whole event, which took place in Gurgaon, was very enlightening and full of fun and joy. They all loved space science. The contest was judged by Anita E Gale,a scientist. Others included scientists working for Boeing,US. This contest was part of the first contest which was held by NASA and Boeing (air craft maker). The organiser of Asian leg of contests was Atlantis Frontiers Edutainment Pvt. Ltd.,which is a Gurgaon-based company (looks after space and science education).Around 150 students from across 15 schools in India took part in the contest. Some of 36 winners come from Little Flowers School,Hyderabad,Amity International School,Saket (Delhi) and Grammar School,Lahore. The creative design of the space city was appreciated by all experts.
