The students of classes IX and XI (Humanities) took part in a heritage walk, held by the school on the occasion of Heritage Day. They visited Hauz Khas Fort area. They were told about the vital importance and historical value of the pre-Mughal period remains.The teachers (History) who led the team also told them about Ancient Monuments & Archeological Sites & Remains Act, 1958. The Act protects all the monuments of historical value and orders ASI and State and Central governments to protect them with all means.The students marveled at the style and perfection and beauty of the architecture which dates back to 1307 AD (Khilji Period). The fort and a lake was built by Alauddin Khilji who killed his uncle secretly to usurp the throne of India. The students pledged to work for the preservation of the monuments.
