kamal model sr. sec school, mohan garden took part in the world forestry day
Many schools took part in the World Forestry Day event held in the school’s auditorium by the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Govt. of India. The list of schools included Kamal International School, Najafgarh, Tiny Tulips School, Sec-4, Dwarka, Vandana International School and Vandana Kindergarten, Sec-10, Dwarka.The students, teachers and principals came together on a single platform to celebrate the day by planting tree saplings and participating in a rally which moved across neighbourhood areas, spreading messages about preservation of forests and protecting nature.Peer Baba (a revered spiritual guru) was also present on the occasion and told people about the importance of nature for the survival of man. He said it is a big sin to cut trees. Vandana Tandon, school principal also spoke about the preservation of woods. Later, all students pledged to save trees, grow more trees and love nature. School manager V.P. Tandon warned that deforestation would destroy the food cycle and send man and other species into an abyss of starvation. R.B.P. Sinha and Dr. Gayatri Mathur (representatives of the Ministry) were also present, and lauded everyone’s efforts.
