pragati maidan set to attract students with the biggest trade fair
The annual international Trade Fair which is held at Pragati Maidan in November each year, has finally arrived. The globally renowned and India’s jewel fair will be one of the biggest fairs in the world.The main UPS of this year fair is use and propagation of clean energy. Delhi school students are very keen and excited about the fair and are bound to visit the various stalls from different countries. It is a huge learning experience for them. They can know each visiting country’s progress and cultural and scientific powers. The whole world is under one roof from November 14-27.To keep roads and parking spaces less congested, parking fees have been increased manifold. This is a good move people should use Metro and bused to reach the venue.There would be daily cultural programmes for the visitors. They could eat various cuisines and buy handicrafts. Security measures will be at par with the global standard to check any unwanted happenings. 200 CCTV cameras are fitted at various strategic points to monitor movements. This is the 30th edition of IITF.School students are encouraged to go in groups to avail discounts and have a fun time together. Tickets can be bought from any Metro Station. Fair ticket price is Rs. 30 for kids on weekends and Rs 20 for week days. And exhibiting handicrafts and art pieces, will celebrate children’s Day from November 14 to 19, 2010.The event will be inaugurated by Pranab Mukherjee, Union Minister of finance and Krishna Tirath, MOS for women and child Development. The list of programmes include free health checkups, family counseling, adolescent counseling, slogan and painting competition, exhibition, film screenings, display of products by self-help group handicrafts making demonstrations, street plays by children, quiz, song and drama shows and creativity fair for kids.Mela timing is – 11 am to 10 pm Entry is free.Children have a chance to so much to see, so much to learn.
