This year, CBSE affiliated schools used same question papers for class IX summative assessment. But now, CBSE has decided to make schools free to decide their own class IX papers. Many school principals and teachers appreciate the good decision. In fact, it was a group of principals who raised this matter with CBSE chairperson at the annual NPSC meet. CBSE will announce its formal decision after the end of the exams. This will be implemented from next year.CBSE didn’t show a good management skill as it sent same papers to all its schools. Since, different schools have different dates for same paper, students passed on papers to the students of other schools. Now, the board will just act as standard provider on which schools will base their papers. This year, despite code system and full secrecy, papers travelled to other schools. CBSE is blaming flexibility of schedules for all the chaos. This will not happen from next year.
