Shagun Agarwal, who studies in class V at Sanskriti school, Delhi, has done her school proud by becoming a jury member to a global event where winners were judged at 34th International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo. The event took place in January, 2010.
The organising committee of the circus is headed by Princess of Monaco Stephanie. The 9 year old bright student of Sanskriti was part of 6 students selected from London, Madrid, Montreal, Monaco, Johannesburg and New Delhi. She and other five were selected through a comprehensive test, as they would need to judge circus performers of the world.
Shagun and her team judged 50 entries in one week, in which 15 emerged out as winners. Shagun who drew the best circus scene when asked by a teacher prior to her selection was the only jury member from Asia region. The school principal congratulated and lauded her for bringing laurels to the school.
