On 11 May, 2010 an unidentified man tried to attack two class xii girl students outside the school in an aea which is considered as the maximum guarded place in Delhi due to presence of embassies.The school is situated near Chinese embassy and the incident occurred at 10:30 am. Tanvi Manchanda and Ridhika Bhasin came out after giving their exam papers and went to a nearby market to get their notes photocopied. The bike-borne attacker (age-20) tried to loot their belongings and when they fought, he chased them on foot and attacked with a knife. One of them was wearing a gold chain and earrings, both were snatched by attacker. Tanvi called for help from her mobile phone.Both girls suffered injuries on their hand and arms. Tanvi’s father called up school officials as soon as he got the SMS from his daughter in danger. The school officials rushed to the spot and saved the girl. But the attacker fled. Police is trying to hunt the attacker.
