On Friday another blow to the Delhi government by the Delhi High Court .As four years is fixed as upper age limit for nursery admission.
This notification was announced by the Directorate of Education on December 18 on nursery admissions. Also ruled by the court that parents can now apply for nursery admission of their children above 4 years by February 9.The high court on Thursday stopped the AAP government's order scrapping management quota in nursery admissions in private schools, saying the decision was taken with no authority of law.
January 6 order was also stopped which was given by the Delhi governments with regard to 11 other admission criteria, including issues like proven track record of parents during admission of their children. Justice Manmohan in his provisional order said that the government's January 6 decision was also in infringement of the Lieutenant Governor's 2007 order on nursery admissions in private unaided schools.
If there were any unauthentic practices with nursery admission criteria is done in private unaided schools, then they will be e investigated and that will be taken to their logical termination. Also mentioned that the independence of private schools with sight to nursery admissions cannot be restricted by an office order and has to be done under the law.
Yesterday Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the AAP government will plea against the Delhi High Court's order to restore the administration quota in private unaided schools for nursery admissions 2016.
